It requires initial brainstorming before you can finalize your niche. The idea of selecting a niche will be based on the principle that it will have to be low competitive -how? Let me explain!

Let's say you are interested in shoes. You read a lot about it online .Be it a new brand or new shoe launch, you read it first and gather as much information as possible. But if you create a website which talks about shoes..it will be super competitive.

 So you have to dig down further...what shoes...? is it business, sports or casual? Even this category is quite competitive and you will have a lot many competitors in this. So dig down further...let's say you have finalized on sports shoes...then ask yourself further question....what type of sports?.... Basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball?

Basketball shoes or baseball shoes might be the right niche to start a website. Instead of creating a website which talks about all the sports shoes, start with something which is less competitive like basketball shoes and grow with it.
